Type of walk

19/05/19 Sunday High Peak

A walk of around 7 miles starting from Whaley Bridge, we head along the canal towpath for  a short way and then field paths and tracks take us to Chinley Churn and then return through Brierley Green  and Buxworth and then back into Whaley Bridge. A few hills on this walk but nothing very steep and with some great views around the High Peak.

Meet in Whaley Bridge at the Canal Street car park near Whaley Bridge canal Basin at 10:30am on Sunday 19/05/19

The walks below are provisional and may be re- arranged depending on the weather conditions at the time. I normally check the expected weather conditions on a Wednesday for the following Sunday and then send out my regular update to confirm the actual walk details. If anyone would like me to arrange a walk in a particular area or would like to lead one of their own walks for us please let me know and I will arrange to put it in the programme.
Dates for the walks below will be decided in due course not necessarily in that order. All approximately 7 miles.
      Ashley and Mobberley before the HS2 line comes through   7 miles
      Shakerley Mere and Lower Peover   7 miles
      Kerridge Ridge and Ingersley Vale Heritage Walk   7 miles
