An easy walk of almost 7 miles starting from Gawsworth and  heading south across the fields to North Rode with its interesting Church, our route will then take us across to the Macclesfield Canal and then north to Oakgrove and back over the fields to Gawsworth.

A six mile easy circular walk from Chelford taking us across the fields to Heawood Hall and then south passing Mere Farm.

Starting from New Mills we will go along the Sett Valley Trail and then head north to Mellor Church and then returning past Mellor Golf Club and back to New Mills.

A flat seven mile walk which will take us over Holford Moss and past Plumley Lime Beds Nature Reserve and Holford Hall, after our lunch break we cross Peover Eye and alongside Royd Wood and back to Plumley.

The Earl Sterndale walk was postponed due to the heavy rain and a walk around Rudyard Lake  was substituted as it was in a more sheltered area.

 The Earl Sterndale walk will be planned for later in the year

A walk of around seven miles starting from Hassall Green near Sandbach and taking us past Hassall with some parts of the walk along the Canal and also the old Salt Route.

Sunday 2nd Apr

  10.00am   Poynton

A walk of nearly 7 miles starting from Higher Poynton and will take us into the outer fringe of Lyme Park to emerge at West Parkgate.  From there we will follow the North Cheshire Way south and west, as far as Lockgate Farm, where we will branch off to Adlington Basin, returning via Poynton Coppice and the Middlewood Way.  Mainly good paths and tracks but with a few muddy areas.

Sunday 16th Apr   10.00am   Three Shires Head

A walk of around 7 miles starting from Wildboarclough with a steady walk up Cumberland Brook, a few inclines on the route and then we will arrive at Three Shires Head for a coffee stop. Tracks and paths will lead us south and then north across the Moors with a lunch break on the way. After passing Crag Hall we descend into Wildboarclough and back along the hillside to the start.  Lovely countryside with some great views in this area.

Sunday 30th Apr

  10.00am   Ashford in the Water

A walk starting from the beautiful village of Ashford in the Water and passing through Great Longstone and near to Longstone Moor then parts of the Monsal Trail will be used before we arrive back at Ashford in the Water.  A wonderful walking area and about 8 miles but maybe shorter if the weather is inclement.

Sunday 14th May   10.00am   Bollington

A walk of about 7.5 miles from Bollington that, with some climbing (not too strenuous), will take us up on to the rugged Bakestonedale Moor where we will be rewarded with panoramic views.  After skirting round Moorside Quarry we will descend to Moorside Road. It's downhill or level as we follow the North Cheshire Way west and south through gentle farmland, wooded areas and the canal towpath.  Then we will turn off to Styperson Pool where we will follow the path uphill to reach Long Lane which will lead us back to Bollington.

Sunday 28th May

  10.00am   Cat and Fiddle to Macclesfield

Meet at Macclesfield Railway Station Car Park at 10:00am. We will then walk the short distance to Macclesfield Bus Station and catch the 10:30am Buxton bus (No 58) and alight at the Cat and Fiddle Inn, please bring your bus pass or bus fare. From the Inn we will follow the field paths, tracks and lanes back to Macclesfield, mostly downhill with the odd little uphill section. Approx 8 miles.
